About Me
Body Balance MSK Therapy is run by Richard Ingram and is based on Elvetham Heath in Fleet.
I trained at the North London School of Sports Massage (NLSSM) and qualified as a Level 5 Remedial Sports Massage & Soft Tissue Therapist. I am currently studying for an Msc in Sport Rehabilitation at St Mary's University in Twickenham.
Since qualifying I have enhanced my knowledge by undertaking regular ‘Continuing Professional Development’ (CPD) and completed the following training courses:
-
Injury Rehabilitation for Sports & Exercise – Core Elements
-
Kinesiology Taping for Musculoskeletal Therapists – CPD Today
-
Pre Hospital Immediate Care in Sport (PHICIS) Level 2 first aid
-
Pregnancy & Postnatal Massage & Remedial Therapy – Burrell Education
I believe that everyone can benefit from Soft Tissue Therapy & Sports Massage due to the advanced techniques that are used. I strongly feel that treatments don’t have to hurt to be helpful. Clients are presenting with soft tissue injuries that are painful and uncomfortable. The aim of my treatment is always to work in a gentle and effective manner to gain improvements without causing additional pain.
I have treated a range of clients from office workers to Olympians/World Champions and everyone in between since qualifying. I have provided soft tissue therapy at a variety of sports events such as:
-
London Marathon
-
Ride London
-
RunFestRun
-
Fleet Half Marathon
-
Bournemouth 7's
-
Royal Windsor Triathlon
-
British Canoeing World Championships 2023
I have provided Soft Tissue Therapy to the Scotland Six Nations team in the days prior to their Calcutta Cup match against England in February 2023. I have provided Soft Tissue Therapy, Sports Massage and Injury Rehab to amateur women's football teams in a variety of leagues.
In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, golf, running and trying to keep up with my two kids and the dog and as a keen sports player, I understand how restrictive muscular injuries can be not just on playing sports but also on daily life. I can provide appropriate treatment to enable you to return to the activities that you enjoy.
I am a member of the Sports Massage Association (SMA) to ensure that I continually meet the required standard to provide the best possible Soft Tissue Therapy & Sports Massage to sports people and non sports people.
